Legend has it that a boat loaded with oranges was seized by sirens in the Raz-de-Sein (Sein being one of the most westerly islands off Brittany). From this fruit and the most carefully chosen seaweed they produced an elixir to save poor Algane who was languishing there... You could call it a feminine aphrodisiac, the liqueur with a hint of the sea.
Algane, born of the sea may be enjoyed as an aperitif and/or as a digestif with a lemon sorbet, or it can be used as a cocktail ingredient, limited only by your imagination.
This product, made with seaweeds from Brittany, has been recognised by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Finistère with a prize for innovation.
